⠂melancholia⠐ is a EP/Album hybrid. Its classical, orchestral compositions juxtaposed with ambient and industrial tunes give it an eclectic and unsettling vibe that always gives you something new to chew on.

My idea when making this project was to capture the feeling of being slowly dragged into a state of depression and isolation. All the different emotive states-of-being you find yourself in.

From the euphoric opener The Wall, to the comforting ⠀autumn⠀drops⠀, to the ambient tranquility and isolation of ❰◼❱ ϻαɗ ❰◼❱, to the sinister rising alarms and classing sounds of アナログホラー.

This project will take you from the happy, bite-sized .sunbeam. to the brooding, ethnic percussion of T R I B Ɐ L I S M and, finally, to ⠂melancholia⠐, the euphoric title track that takes you on a journey of reflection and self-discovery (at least that's where it took me).

With this project I made sure to take from a variety of influences, form many video game soundtracks to dark ambient works. Here's some of the artists that influenced this project:

Now, I'm not saying my music is as good as those guys', just that they were a major source of influence for me :D

The cover art reflects my state of mind when making/releasing this project. The beautiful distorted frame of a lovely beach surrounded by the dark, dystopian, chaotic landscape was basically my mood for the past 6 months. The red exterior symbolizes the chaos and turmoil of my mind (while dealing to deal with my anxiety and ADHD), while the interior of the frame is meant to show that even in the chaotic, brooding atmosphere there is still moments of clearness, happiness and beauty, it doesn't last forever though as you're still surrounded my darkness.

I sincerely hope that you'll take a chance on this project as it meant so much for the these past few months and hopefully it'll mean a lot to you too. The second half really helped me deal with some dark thoughts I've been having, helping me relax and let out steam by changing genres and moods.
